For those who missed it a few weeks back, one last reminder of a second chance to catch our amazing Grangegorman tour, tomorrow Wed 07 June. It starts 2.15 pm, which won’t suit everyone of course. But if you can get free, make every effort to get to buy a ticket (link below) and somehow make it. It’s a unique tour, as anyone who has done it recently will testify, opening up a part of the city most of us barely know, indeed an area of terra incognito that’s effectively been hidden for over a 150 years, cit off by the Broadstone block” effect, by rail and canal infrastructure and of course, by the prisons, asylums and workhouses of the area. But this is an area rich in history and meaning. And one about to change forever.
